Overview

In this role you join a leading national law firm’s Insurance team in Bristol to handle defendant personal injury and liability matters. You will work with insurers on liability and coverage issues while managing a varied caseload and developing client relationships. The role offers increasing autonomy, involvement in business development, and opportunities to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team. This position combines technical litigation work with client-facing responsibilities in a respected practice area.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist on defendant personal injury and liability matters (EL/PL/Products)
• Handle fast track, intermediate, and multi-track cases
• Advise insurer clients on liability and coverage issues
• Support investigations into health & safety matters, inquests and regulatory issues
• Assist with product liability claims
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team
• Progress to greater autonomy and potential involvement in business development

Key requirements

• NQ-2 years’ PQE with experience in personal injury or insurance litigation
• Solid understanding of litigation procedure and case management
• Exposure to liability claims desirable
• Strong drafting, organisational and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage client relationships effectively
• Proactive, commercially aware approach
