Senior Cost Engineer

Overview

As Senior Cost Engineer, you will own cost data, forecasting, and reporting for a high-profile UK nuclear build. You will collaborate with project controls, risk, and contractor teams to ensure robust, auditable cost outputs aligned with delivery frameworks. Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain cost data aligned with CBS and WBS
• Maintain integrity of cost data in EcoSys and SAP
• Create and present Power BI cost analytics for boards and leadership
• Interrogate cost uncertainties, variances, and drivers for scenario planning
• Ensure schedule and cost forecasts align with delivery risk profiles
• Collaborate with Tier 1 contractors on cost data, risks, and opportunities
• Drive continuous improvements in cost management processes and tools

Key requirements

• At least 10 years of senior-level experience in cost and forecasting in complex regulated environments
• Expert knowledge of project controls, cost techniques, financial integration, and stakeholder management
• Hands-on experience with EcoSys and SAP; data visualization with Power BI
• Experience in a project management or major construction environment; nuclear or energy sector exposure desirable
• Minimum HND in Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, or related discipline
• Cost management qualifications or professional memberships advantageous
