Infrastructure Asset Management Associate

Overview

In this role you work within Partners Group’s European Private Infrastructure Asset Management team to drive value creation across portfolio companies. You collaborate with investment teams, board members, and management to onboard new acquisitions, refine strategic plans, and implement operational improvements. You support due diligence for new investments, monitor performance, and help develop asset management processes. This position offers exposure to high-impact transformation programs in a global, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Onboard newly acquired portfolio companies and align them with strategic plans
• Contribute to defining and refreshing value creation initiatives
• Support operational improvements, restructurings, or re-engineering to maximize value
• Build and maintain relationships with management, boards, and service providers
• Assist in advisory discussions with management and participate in board meetings as observer
• Own non C-Level management relationships and act as sparring partner on strategic workstreams
• Ensure ongoing operational focus by reviewing portfolio performance and achieving goals
• Support due diligence for prospective investments focusing on commercial and operational workstreams
• Contribute to reporting, monitoring, market research, and marketing efforts
• Contribute to development of asset management processes, tools, and playbooks

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s/MBA a plus
• 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of private equity underwriting and value creation plans (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) and ability translate into action items and KPIs
• Exposure to transformation programs and strategic planning
• Knowledge of operations, SG&A, cost savings and value creation programs; experience with buy-and-build strategies
• Strong analytical and financial skills; team mentality; desire to learn and succeed
• Comfort interacting with management teams and building credibility with senior stakeholders
• Foundational understanding of integrated business planning and financing/valuation
