Overview
In this Senior Director role within Gartner’s BTI and Assurance Practice, you will lead and shape internal audit insights for Chief Audit Executives, delivering provocative, actionable guidance to clients at global scale. You will produce high-impact content, speak at events, and mentor peers while collaborating across teams to advance Gartner’s research agenda. You’ll translate complex audit challenges into strategic solutions and act as a trusted advisor to clients and Gartner stakeholders. This role emphasizes thought leadership, client engagement, and cross-team collaboration in a dynamic, global environment.

Responsibilities
- Create innovative, must-have insights content and thought-provoking analyses
- Develop actionable approaches to client needs and accelerate their decision-making
- Identify root causes of client barriers and reframing problems to drive strategy
- Establish Insights positions across a team of analysts with thought leadership
- Provide provocative, independent insights to evolve Gartner’s research agenda
- Research, analyze, and predict market trends to deliver actionable guidance
- Deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings
- Support BTI and Sales by acting as a voice of the market to drive engagement
- Provide quality peer review of content and ensure credibility of Gartner insights
- Mentor junior team members and foster collaboration within the Insights community
- Focus on client-centric engagement with Gartner insights and regular client interaction
- Identify and implement research process improvements to enhance service delivery
Key requirements
- 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
- Deep knowledge of internal audit leadership (or Chief Audit Executive) role
- Understanding of Audit function and adjacent areas (Compliance, Legal & Risk)
- Experience with audit practices tasks: QA, process improvement, training design, liaison with external auditors/regulators
- Executive presence and credibility with executives and stakeholders
- Strong organizational, research and writing capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication; analytical and presentation skills
- Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data and applying patterns to client challenges
- Strong business and financial acumen; knowledge of global competitive landscape
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed, multicultural global team
- Learning agility and travel up to 25%
