Assistant Site Manager

Overview

In this role you support the Site Manager to oversee a busy residential development. You help ensure plots are safe, high quality, and built to specification while coordinating trades and documenting progress. You’ll manage site paperwork, H&S records, and weekly updates, and assist with customer care and handover preparation. You contribute to maintaining build programmes and flag risks or delays, while ensuring NHBC standards and building regulations are met. Responsibilities

• Ensure plots are built safely, to specification and to the highest quality standards
• Coordinate trades and subcontractors
• Manage site paperwork, H&S documentation, and weekly reporting
• Support customer care processes and handover preparation
• Uphold build programmes and identify risks or delays
• Ensure compliance with NHBC standards and building regulations

Key requirements

• CSCS Gold, Black, or White card
• SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• Experience with traditional built housing
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Additional certificates (e.g., scaffolding awareness, fire marshal, temporary works) advantageous
