Senior Buyer – Information Technology

Overview

In this role you will lead IT procurement across software, hardware, networks and services, partnering with Category Managers to deliver cost-efficient sourcing. You’ll manage end-to-end activities and drive strategic supplier relationships across the UK and Europe. The position blends international stakeholder collaboration with procurement governance and continuous improvement. You’ll be instrumental in shaping IT sourcing strategies and delivering measurable value.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities across IT categories (software, SaaS, hardware, networks, cyber security, AI, IT services)
• Manage end-to-end sourcing: supplier engagement, negotiation, contract placement, performance management
• Own large-scale procurement projects with Category Managers and stakeholders
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and international suppliers across UK/Europe
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to deliver value, cost savings and efficiency
• Contribute to continuous improvement in procurement processes and governance
• Engage in international procurement activities including travel to European sites

Key requirements

• Experience in procurement, IT categories or indirect spend with technology interest
• Proven ability to manage procurement processes and supplier relationships in a complex environment
• Strong stakeholder management and international collaboration skills
• Experience delivering sourcing activities and supporting strategy execution
• Proactive and adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities
• MCIPS qualified or working towards certification (desirable)
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK and meet security clearance requirements
