Investment Banking Associate, Energy

Overview

In this role you help clients raise capital and provide strategic advisory on mergers and acquisitions within Citi’s Institutional Banking team. You work with cross-functional teams to execute investment banking activities, mentor analysts, and ensure sound risk and compliance practices. You will shape investment strategies and contribute to Citi’s franchise growth. This position offers exposure to high-impact client work and regulatory considerations in a global banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of Citi’s Investment Banking activities
• Leverage past IB or related experience to enhance M&A execution and capital raising
• Contribute to building Citi’s franchise
• Manage and mentor analysts with guidance, information flow, and credit/exposure information
• Assess risk in business decisions with emphasis on reputation, compliance and control issues

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related areas of Business Administration
• Experience evaluating corporate transactions and structures
• Experience creating financial analyses
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
