Audit Senior Manager – Bristol

In this role you will lead and manage a diverse audit portfolio from planning to completion within a well-established Bristol practice. You will act as a primary client contact, ensuring high-quality audit delivery and strong service across corporate, owner-managed, international and not-for-profit clients. You’ll guide junior team members, coach peers, and collaborate with partners to maintain standards and identify growth opportunities. Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and lead audit assignments from start to completion
• Serve as key client contact throughout the year
• Oversee complex audits across a varied client portfolio
• Collaborate with Audit Partners to maintain quality and service
• Review files to ensure adherence to professional standards
• Delegate and supervise junior staff; coach and develop the audit team
• Foster long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services
• Manage deadlines, budgets and workflow across assignments
• Keep up to date with auditing and accounting standards

Key requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Proven experience in a Senior Audit Manager or Audit Manager role
• Strong external audit experience in an accountancy practice
• Excellent knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
• Experience managing and reviewing audit assignments
• Confident in leading, coaching and developing others
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Commercially aware with focus on client service
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
