Digital Design Specialist

Overview

In this role you will model and deliver structural BIM content under supervision, ensuring discipline models meet project standards. You’ll maintain the discipline model, coordinate with other disciplines, and prepare detailed drawings and diagrams using current 3D software. You will uphold project requirements, scopes, and delivery outputs within budget and schedule. This position sits in HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, contributing to sustainable, innovative built environments. Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the discipline model and BIM elements per LOD in the Digital Delivery Plan
• Generate discipline-specific documentation and drawings within project scope and budget
• Accurately model BIM elements within the current software environment and constraints
• Maintain project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, and view/sheet organization in the discipline model
• Coordinate designs with other discipline models during Design Reviews and 3D Coordination
• Monitor and improve model health and company standards
• Assist with or execute additional Digital Delivery requirements per project
• Rely on guidance from architects/engineers while applying technical competence in the discipline

Key requirements

• 3+ years of related industry experience
• Detailed working knowledge of Revit and ACC/Forma documentation management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication tools
• Experience with 3D coordination tools including ACC/Forma and Navisworks
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Solid understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
• Experience working on large or multiple projects
