Overview

In this Real Estate Associate role, you will support high-value UK and cross-border real estate transactions within a leading international law firm. You work closely with Banking, Corporate, Tax and other specialists to deliver practical, client-focused advice on acquisitions, disposals, asset management and development. The role offers early responsibility, strong client exposure and a path to build deep real estate expertise in a collaborative, high-performing environment. Responsibilities

  • Support domestic and overseas investors on UK real estate acquisitions, disposals and asset management, plus development work including asset and corporate vehicle transactions
  • Handle major landlord and tenant work for investors and occupiers
  • Collaborate with Banking, Corporate, Tax and other specialists on complex, multi-disciplinary deals
  • Assist on real estate aspects of real estate finance, corporate and M&A transactions
  • Develop understanding of clients’ businesses to offer practical, relevant advice
  • Build internal and external relationships to deliver an outstanding client experience
  • Participate in business development, know-how and profile-raising initiatives
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture emphasizing knowledge sharing and development
  • Receive meaningful responsibility and client contact early in your career
  • Allocate work by capability and development rather than PQE

Key requirements

  • Qualified solicitor (NQ – 2 years PQE) in England & Wales, or a lawyer with relevant common law training and strong English commercial real estate experience
  • Strong grounding in commercial real estate from a leading City or international law firm
  • Experience supporting complex real estate transactions and a desire to deepen sector and transactional expertise
  • Excellent academic credentials and technical legal skills
  • Clear, concise drafting and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial judgement and ability to deliver pragmatic, client-focused advice
  • Proactive, organized and able to manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted client and team relationships
