Data Security Architect & Engineer – Consultant / Senior Consultant

Overview

In this role you help clients strengthen cyber risk management through data security architecture and engineering. You will design and implement security solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to ongoing operation and optimization of data protection technologies. The work supports large-scale transformations and risk reduction across client environments. You’ll join a global cyber practice that values collaboration, growth, and practical impact.

Responsibilities

• Define data security use cases, requirements, and specifications (data discovery, access governance, classification, DLP, encryption, masking, monitoring, compliance)
• Create high-level and low-level designs aligned with business goals and standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
• Develop system architectures, dependencies, and performance specs for secure implementations
• Integrate workflows with SIEM, data discovery/classification tools (Varonis, BigID), and Azure
• Establish RACI for maintaining infrastructure components
• Prepare technical documentation and operation processes for data security implementations
• Install and configure on-premises/cloud components, including cloud scripting and extensions
• Deploy and manage DLP agents, integrate with enterprise apps and directories
• Perform testing (unit, integration, functional, non-functional) and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution
• Provide post-implementation support, knowledge transfer, and client training to operate the solution effectively

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering desirable
• strong background in data security architecture and engineering
• experience with data classification, DLP, encryption, data governance, and privacy
• familiarity with cloud-native and hybrid Microsoft environments
• knowledge of GDPR/CCPA and data privacy trends
• exposure to DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible)
• RBAC and data access governance design
• experience with modern data security concepts (zero trust, data-centric security)
• desirable certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CIPP/E)
