Responsibilities

• Manage a busy caseload of housing and civil litigation matters
• Supervise and mentor junior legal professionals
• Advise on housing policies and procedures and oversee housing-related disputes
• Provide strategic legal guidance to internal stakeholders
• Develop experience across additional disciplines such as property, local government, and public law
• Contribute to high-quality legal services that support local communities

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with current practising certificate (England and Wales)
• Significant experience in housing law and civil litigation (England and Wales)
• Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior legal professionals or potential to develop these skills
• Desirable: experience in commercial or property litigation, local government law, education, or employment law
