Overview

Strategic, technology-driven leader for Energy & Utilities clients, shaping enterprise-wide transformation roadmaps. You act as the senior technology advisor to client executives, aligning IT investments with business outcomes. You will drive modernization, cybersecurity, data and AI initiatives, and platform engineering across multi-year programs. This role combines industry expertise with hands-on architecture leadership to deliver measurable business value. You will work with cross-functional teams to elevate digital transformation at scale.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technology strategist and trusted advisor for Energy & Utilities clients
• Develop multi-year transformation roadmaps aligned to business priorities and regulatory needs
• Provide executive thought leadership in modernization, automation, resilience, sustainability, and efficiency
• Engage with CIOs/CTOs/CISOs and business leaders to shape strategic investments
• Lead enterprise architecture governance and decision frameworks
• Identify innovation opportunities leveraging cloud, AI, IoT, analytics, automation, and digital platforms
• Define target-state architectures covering applications, infrastructure, security, data, and operations
• Lead architecture assessments, capability maturity evaluations, and modernization plans
• Drive API-first and event-driven integration strategies; promote composable architectures
• Define cloud transformation strategies across AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments
• Lead cloud-native modernization with microservices, containers, Kubernetes, DevSecOps
• Design secure, scalable platforms with IaC, CI/CD, SRE, and platform automation
• Guide multi-cloud governance, FinOps, observability, and operating models
• Oversee delivery governance and risk management; mentor architecture teams
• Represent NTT DATA in client forums and industry events

Key requirements

• 15+ years in enterprise architecture or tech advisory roles
• 8+ years supporting Energy & Utilities clients
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale digital transformations
• Deep domain knowledge: power generation, transmission & distribution, smart grid, renewables, oil & gas
• TOGAF, Zachman, or similar EA frameworks
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Experience with DevSecOps and platform engineering
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management; ability to influence C-level decisions
