Indirect Procurement Business Partner

Overview

In this role you drive indirect procurement for a leading Formula 1 team, delivering best-value sourcing across R&D, facilities and wind tunnel. You will influence internal and external stakeholders, shape sourcing strategies, and manage supplier performance to align with cost, time and quality imperatives. You operate within a matrix environment, promoting high professional standards and continuous improvement to unlock commercial opportunities. This is a fast-paced, cross-functional role that blends analytics, negotiation and governance to support Williams’ engineering and performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee indirect procurement processes across categories (R&D, Facilities, Wind Tunnel)
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing to achieve cost savings and reduce risk
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and ensure contractual and quality compliance
• Negotiate and manage contracts to secure favorable terms and ongoing value
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business goals
• Drive process improvements to increase transparency and efficiency
• Analyze procurement data to identify trends, quantify savings, and report KPIs
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum three years’ experience in indirect procurement; experience in Facilities, Manufacturing, or R&D desirable
• Strong negotiation, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools
• In-depth understanding of indirect procurement, market trends and best practices
• MCIPS desirable
