Security Cleared Associate / Project Director: Digital Project Controls, Defence – Glasgow/ Bristol/ London

Overview

In this role, you drive digital transformation for defence programmes by integrating P3M disciplines with secure delivery environments. You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, align processes to Defence lifecycles, and elevate governance and assurance across large portfolios. You work closely with MoD clients and Tier 1 partners to enable robust project management and measurable investment returns. This is a high-impact role at a client-centric, innovative consultancy seeking to shape defence delivery through digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assess client challenges and requirements within complex Defence delivery environments
• Implement or refine P3M methodologies, data structures, tools and systems to meet Defence governance and lifecycles
• Direct technology suppliers and lead digital implementation teams in secure settings
• Embed changes through stakeholder engagement and business readiness across MoD and Tier 1 partners
• Improve advisory services and produce deliverables supporting findings across engagements
• Collaborate in diverse, multi-disciplinary teams on client sites and virtually
• Contribute to business development activities and support marketing and social campaigns

Key requirements

• Graduate calibre with relevant industry experience
• Experience transforming project ways of working and integrating P3M disciplines
• Experience in UK Defence sector (MoD or Tier 1 suppliers) advantageous
• Understanding of Defence acquisition processes and governance frameworks
• Experience in secure or regulated environments
• Experience defining or refining project structures including asset information, work, schedule, cost and risk
• Experience translating client methodologies into supply chain requirements and contract scope
• Experience in project controls or P3M technology
• Experience with major capital programmes or large portfolios
• Familiarity with core project controls functions (scope, schedule, cost, risk, reporting)
• Experience in business capability establishment or change
• APM/ PMI or similar certification advantageous
