Senior Cyber Security Analyst

Overview

As Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will monitor cyber risk across Lightsource bp’s IT landscape and lead remediation of vulnerabilities. You’ll detect threats, investigate incidents, and drive response using a modern security stack focused on Microsoft Defender. Working across regions, you’ll proactively hunt threats, assess risk, and partner with infrastructure and support teams to raise our security maturity and protect critical renewable assets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems globally using SIEM, EDR, and related tools to detect compromise and complete investigations
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain frameworks to identify emerging threats
• Assess and optimize Defender technologies and other security solutions to counter risks
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in systems and applications with cross-team prioritization
• Administer core SecOps tooling, ensure proper configuration and high-quality docs
• Communicate security updates to stakeholders, including executives during investigations
• Support cloud security policy development and compliance with NIST 2.0, CIS, NIS2 and regulations
• Create and deliver security awareness training across the organization

Key requirements

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with at least 2+ years in SOC or incident response
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Defender XDR and expert level in Microsoft Sentinel (KQL)
• Hands-on experience with Defender for Endpoint (policy config, threat investigation)
• Experience with Azure-focused cloud environments
• Knowledge of Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, and other security frameworks
• Stakeholder engagement at C-Suite level
• Desirable experience in Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) environments
