Job Description:

Overview

In this Content Designer role, you will shape clear, accessible digital content that helps users find and act on what matters. You’ll work across UX, product and research teams to apply content design principles and contribute to design systems and content artefacts. Your work will focus on accessibility, plain language, and information architecture to deliver impactful experiences for clients. You will collaborate across disciplines and own defined workstreams while shaping the practice of content design within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Run and support content design activities (workshops, user interviews, content critiques, collaborative sessions)
  • Create content deliverables (content style guides, matrices, copy decks; contribute to design system docs)
  • Define content requirements based on business objectives, constraints and accessibility
  • Determine information architecture and content structure at project level
  • Apply accessibility guidelines and plain language as baseline in all content work
  • Support end-to-end content design within projects and collaborate with design leads
  • Facilitate cross-disciplinary communication to align and improve ways of working
  • Manage time and output within project timelines
  • Work with client teams to understand user needs, priorities and brand context
  • Present content thinking clearly to build alignment and support iteration
  • Support new business development with content design expertise in pitches and client conversations
  • Attend and contribute to studio and community events and share learnings to grow practice

Key requirements

  • 3–5 years in content design, UX writing, digital design, or content strategy with digital product/services work
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and plain language principles
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Science, Design, Journalism, English Studies, Linguistics, or related field
  • Experience translating business and customer requirements into content strategy across touchpoints
  • Experience applying accessibility guidelines and designing to industry standards
  • Experience running online/offline workshops and interviews to validate design decisions
  • Working knowledge of content landscape (content design, content strategy, IA, content operations)
  • Use evidence, feedback and performance signals to evolve content to meet user and business needs
