Overview

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day facilities and service delivery for a multi-tenant estate in London, balancing owner-occupier expectations with investor objectives. You will work closely with the General Manager and cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of service, safety, and efficiency. The position emphasizes hands-on leadership, confidentiality, and the ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will drive coordinated maintenance and improvements, shaping a well-managed, asset-focused workplace experience. This role offers scope to influence service delivery at scale within a premier real estate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Line management of Assistant Facilities Manager and oversight of facilities operations
  • Oversee mechanical and electrical systems, and coordinate project management activities
  • Manage security, frontline reception, access control, and help desk operations
  • Coordinate cleaning, waste management, and environmental health & safety practices
  • Conduct regular estate inspections, monitor compliance, and report to the GM
  • Liaise with contractors, obtain quotations, and supervise service providers
  • Management of life-cycle, planned maintenance, and major building works coordination
  • Finance-related duties including service charge budgets, budget monitoring, and reconciliations
  • Develop emergency and out-of-hours response plans and coordinate drills
  • Maintain site regulations, permits to work, and incident response documentation
  • Foster occupier relations and ensure high-quality service delivery

Key requirements

  • Facilities management experience in multi-tenant estate management
  • Strong mechanical & electrical knowledge of building systems
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and ensure service quality
  • Experience with service charge budgets and reconciliations
  • Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and numerical skills with report writing
