Overview

As Lead Product Manager, you will guide a small team of PMs and set the strategic direction for Customer Fulfilment. You’ll lead Customer Fulfilment Automation, building software to enable automation-driven order fulfilment across sites. You’ll represent the product to senior leadership and own key metrics and performance. The role emphasizes empowering your team to deliver value and grow, with regular in-person collaboration at sites and a 3-day office presence.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with peers and senior stakeholders to define the future direction of the product within the wider strategy
  • Evolve the product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap
  • Understand user personas, customers, and stakeholders and their pain points
  • Be accountable for product performance and OKR achievement
  • Prioritise work and make trade-offs with peers and senior leaders
  • Document requirements for engineering via user stories with acceptance criteria; break complex work into deliverable chunks
  • Lead sprint/release planning with engineering to maximise business value
  • Drive adoption of ideas with product teams and engineering stakeholders
  • Coordinate and resolve live product issues independently
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams on near-term priorities
  • Identify and remove impediments; flag risks/delays to Head of Product and stakeholders
  • Build and nurture a team of Product Managers; empower and develop them to deliver value

Key requirements

  • Experienced Product Manager with Customer Fulfilment Automation experience
  • Strong knowledge of UX/UI principles
  • Ability to analyse customer research and influence product outcomes
  • Understand diverse personas and how they experience the product
  • Able to write hypothesis statements and run experiments with optimisation teams/engineers
  • Knowledge of how large systems interact and tracking health metrics (uptime, SLOs, response time)
  • Involved in setting vision and OKRs for the product area
  • Engaged in market research to shape vision and strategy aligned with business/technology goals
  • Skilled with data types and deciding when to use quantitative vs qualitative data
  • Apply ML/AI concepts with data scientists and engineers to deliver value
  • Understand large-scale data platforms for scalability, availability, performance, security
  • Familiar with Product Management lifecycle and Agile mindset
  • Know how to build and update roadmaps and create stakeholder buy-in
  • Understand business, commercial drivers, metrics, and decision-making processes
