Overview

Head of IT to lead the organisation’s technology strategy, digital transformation, and operational resilience. You will oversee Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and cloud systems, with a focus on infrastructure, security, and AI-driven innovation. The role reports to senior management and shapes initiatives that improve service delivery and performance. You will collaborate with stakeholders to align technology with organisational goals and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the organisation’s technology roadmap aligned with strategic objectives
• Lead IT operations, infrastructure, and security arrangements
• Develop and enforce data governance and information lifecycle policies
• Identify and adopt emerging technologies including AI and automation
• Manage supplier relationships, procurement, and technology budget
• Ensure compliance with data protection, records management, and cyber security standards
• Lead initiatives to optimise core systems: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange
• Develop and monitor KPIs and reporting dashboards for evidence-based decisions

Key requirements

• Standalone IT Manager or similar senior technical role with experience in organisations using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange
• Proven ability to manage complex technology architectures, implement AI solutions, and drive digital transformation
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, security frameworks, and data governance policies
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and budget management
