Senior / Principal Consultant, Air Quality – Leeds

Overview

In this role you will support air quality projects through dispersion modelling, monitoring planning, data analysis and reporting. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on significant national and international projects and help raise the air quality profile of the team. You’ll contribute to proposals, deliver technical work to high standards, and support business development. Responsibilities

• Dispersion modelling using ADMS and ADMS-Roads
• Design and implement ambient air quality monitoring plans (passive and automatic)
• Prepare bids, quotes and tender submissions
• Project management across budget, programme and scope
• Liaise with clients, project teams and Local Authorities
• Collate and analyse data
• Write reports and proposals
• Support business development and raise the team profile

Key requirements

• Good numerical skills
• Degree in a scientific discipline
• Ability to work within a team
• Excellent oral and written communication and IT skills
• Ability to write clear, concise reports/proposals
• Experience in project management, supervision and QA of air quality work packages
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, technical guidance and industry standards in air quality
• Experience in data analysis with Excel and GIS
• Proactive attitude and accountability
• IAQM membership (associate or full)
