Estimators – Infrastructure – North East & Yorkshire

Overview

In this role you support major infrastructure programmes by delivering accurate estimates and cost plans. You will operate within Turner & Townsend’s Estimating Hub, collaborating with clients either as an embedded resource or on ad-hoc tasks. You help drive estimating best practice, data analysis and benchmarking to enable informed decisions. The opportunity blends regional client work with potential national/international tasks, offering impact across large projects and programmes.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely manner
• Manage the estimating process at project level
• Produce estimates with minimal supervision
• Assist in gathering and sharing estimating data
• Support development and promotion of estimating best practice
• Support achievement of departmental objectives
• Keep up-to-date with developments in the estimating field

Key requirements

• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
• Experience of providing estimating and/or QS services in large project environments
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
