Consultant Town Planner

Overview

In this role you will support delivery of a diverse planning portfolio and help shape sustainable development across the UK. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage, assess and report on planning projects, from policy development to major infrastructure schemes. You’ll work closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes, contributing to a mission-driven, inclusive environment. Responsibilities

• Support and manage planning applications and development projects, including major and complex schemes
• Contribute to policy development, plan-making and urban regeneration initiatives
• Prepare and contribute to high-quality planning reports, statements and technical documents
• Support major infrastructure schemes, including NSIPs and National Developments
• Work closely with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes

Key requirements

• Degree in Town Planning (or related discipline)
• RTPI membership (or working towards)
• Experience contributing to planning applications and development management projects
• Strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policy and guidance
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
