Managing Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will manage the commercial delivery of a major highways project for Pinnacle, guiding activities from pre-construction through to handover. You will lead procurement, negotiations with subcontractors, and ensure accurate valuations and final accounts. You will contribute to risk management and value engineering while working closely with cross-functional project teams. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape infrastructure delivery and drive commercial success on a high-profile scheme.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the project
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management
• Ensure accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Provide strategic input on risk management and value engineering
• Collaborate closely with project teams

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects, ideally on Highways
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management principles
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
