Overview

In this role you protect critical infrastructure within the Vodafone Business Security Enhanced (VBSE) estate. You’ll deliver proactive maintenance and troubleshooting of physical security controls, collaborating with a cross-functional team to uphold security, compliance, and reliability. You’ll work onsite and in field settings, addressing incidents and audits to maintain high security standards. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to national security objectives while developing expertise across security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventative maintenance across physical security controls (locks, doors, access points, code changes, secure containers)
• Troubleshoot and fix faults on security systems both during business hours and on-call
• Manage and support physical security technologies (CCTV, VMS, access control platforms, access cards, PIDS)
• Ensure contractual security obligations align with SMP and SAL
• Support physical security audits, investigate incidents, identify root causes and drive resolutions
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold security, compliance, and operational excellence

Key requirements

• Experience with physical security systems, monitoring centers, or alarm installation/maintenance
• Knowledge of security platforms (Gallagher, Galaxy, CCTV, Access Control, PIDS, related technologies)
• Eligible to obtain and maintain DV security clearance
• Understanding of ICT environments and alarm monitoring applications
• Certifications in Access Control, CCTV, PIDS, Electrical Engineering, Gallagher, Galaxy, or Milestone (or working towards)
• Driving licence (full UK)
• Strong communication and ICT/Maths/English skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
