Building Surveyor – Commercial – London

Overview

In this role you will join a globally recognised construction consultancy in London to lead commercial building surveying activities. You will assess properties, prepare technical reports, and manage surveys, dilapidations, specifications, and contract administration to support investment decisions and project delivery. You will collaborate with clients, landlords, tenants, and contractors to ensure regulatory compliance, value for money, and timely delivery. This is a chance to shape refurbishment and maintenance strategies within a growing project portfolio.

Pay / Benefits

• Salary 70,000 – 90,000 + benefits

Responsibilities

• Building Condition Surveys & Defect Diagnosis for commercial properties
• Dilapidations and lease compliance reporting and advisory
• Specification and tender documentation for refurbishment, fit-out, and maintenance
• Contract administration and project management including governance and cost control
• Compliance and risk management across project lifecycles

Key requirements

• Degree-level qualification
• 5+ years’ experience on commercial construction projects or similar for a Consultancy/Client
• UK Passport or right to work in the UK
