Senior Cost Consultant – Cost Management Job in London, London – 70,000 – 85,000

Overview

In this Senior Cost Consultant role, you’ll lead cost management for large-scale residential and commercial projects in Central London. You will mentor junior team members and drive pre- and post-contract cost services across schemes up to 2.5bn in value. You’ll work closely with clients and the wider project team to optimize cost, procurement, and value engineering on hospitality and regeneration projects. This is an opportunity to shape delivery on high-profile schemes within a collaborative, growth-focused practice that embraces modern construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise junior cost team members
• Oversee pre-contract and post-contract cost services
• Cost planning, cost control, estimates, and procurement
• Negotiate contracts and prepare commercial documentation
• Engage with supply chain and manage budget reconciliations
• Prepare cost reporting and site valuations
• Liaise with clients and maintain QA/compliance
• Champion technology usage to improve service and efficiency

Key requirements

• 6+ years’ experience as a Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy or developer
• Experience leading commercial management for large-scale schemes from feasibility to final accounts
• Excellent cost planning, cost control, reporting and procurement skills
• Experience serving private sector clients
• MRICS/MCIOB
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
• MMC and/or sustainability experience advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
