Procurement Director

Overview

In this role you will lead the procurement function at a London-based organisation, reporting to the CFO to shape strategy and governance. You will drive sourcing, supplier performance, and cost optimisation while embedding best practice across operations, projects, and finance. You’ll develop and mentor the procurement team and partner with stakeholders to deliver long-term business value. This is a commercially focused leadership role with significant impact and a hands-on, on-site element.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the procurement strategy aligned with business objectives
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management
• Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities while managing procurement risk
• Forge strong relationships with operations, projects, and finance stakeholders
• Drive responsible sourcing, governance, and continuous improvement across the supply base
• Provide leadership and development to the procurement team

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a senior procurement leadership role
• Strong track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations
• Experience managing multiple spend categories within a complex organisation
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and stakeholder management skills
• CIPS or equivalent professional qualification desirable
