SHEQ Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead safety, quality and environmental initiatives across multiple infrastructure projects, shaping policies and embedding a proactive SHEQ culture. You will drive risk assessments, audits and incident investigations, delivering corrective actions to prevent recurrence. You will oversee environmental programs aimed at reducing carbon footprint and improving performance, while engaging stakeholders to sustain compliance. This is a strategic, fast-paced opportunity to influence safety and sustainability at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop safety, quality, and environmental policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to ensure compliance with legal and organisational standards.
• Support incident investigations and facilitate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement through training and communication.
• Manage environmental programs aiming to reduce carbon footprint and improve operational performance.

Key requirements

• NEBOSH or equivalent health, safety, and environmental qualification
• Proven experience managing SHEQ in infrastructure, utilities, or similar sectors
• Strong understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence teams and stakeholders at all levels
