Investment Banking Associate, Industrials

Overview

As an Investment Banking Associate, you help clients raise capital and receive strategic M&A guidance as part of Citi’s Institutional Banking team. You will support deal execution, contribute to Citi’s franchise growth, and mentor analysts while maintaining strict risk oversight and regulatory compliance. This role combines hands-on advisory work with cross-functional collaboration to deliver value to clients. You will engage in high-impact finance projects that shape client outcomes and firm reputation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of Citi’s Investment Banking activities
• Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance M&A execution and capital raising capabilities
• Contribute to building Citi’s franchise
• Manage and mentor analysts by providing detailed guidance and feedback
• Assess risk and ensure compliance, escalating control issues with transparency

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
• Experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures
• Experience creating financial analyses
