Data Center EHSQ Senior Manager

Overview

In this hands-on leadership role, you will establish EHSQ standards for hyperscale data centres across the UK and Europe. You’ll build frameworks from the ground up while staying closely engaged with site delivery. You will define standards, develop inspection methodologies, audit contractors, and lead incident investigations to ensure consistent safety and quality. You’ll work with project stakeholders to embed EHSQ into procurement and delivery, shaping future capability.

Responsibilities

• Develop EHS and quality standards, inspection processes and ITP methodologies from the ground up
• Carry out site audits and assess contractor safety and quality performance
• Lead incident investigations and share lessons learned across projects
• Embed health, safety and quality requirements into contractor and RFP processes
• Work closely with project stakeholders to maintain consistent standards across delivery activities
• Support the growth of the EHS function, including recruitment of regional EHS managers
• Maintain a practical, site-focused approach to identify and resolve issues before they affect delivery

Key requirements

• Hands-on EHS or quality management experience within construction, industrial projects or similarly complex delivery environments
• Experience on data centre projects or comparable high-complexity builds
• Willingness to travel to sites and engage with contractors and delivery teams
• Experience creating, implementing or improving EHS standards and quality processes
• Strong incident investigation and continuous improvement experience
• Proactive, hands-on approach in a changing environment
• NEBOSH or equivalent EHS qualification is desirable
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is desirable
