As Principal Civil Engineer at Stantec in Bristol, you will lead the technical delivery of civil infrastructure projects across sectors, guiding them from concept to construction. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions and mentor junior engineers to grow the Bristol team. You’ll engage with local authorities, clients and other stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery and high technical standards. Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of civil infrastructure projects across sectors
• Design and review highway and drainage infrastructure
• Deliver projects from concept through to construction
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients
• Liaise with local authorities, highway and drainage authorities, utility companies and other stakeholders
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high technical standard
• Support business development and growth of the Bristol team
• Help deliver innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions

Key requirements

• BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering (minimum)
• significant consultancy experience delivering civil infrastructure projects
• ideally qualified or working towards Chartered Engineer status
• strong experience in highway and drainage design from concept to detailed design
• good knowledge of relevant UK standards and infrastructure design principles
• experience leading projects and working with clients and multidisciplinary teams
• strong communication, stakeholder management and project management skills
• experience mentoring engineers and technicians
• experience with Civil 3D and InfoDrainage would be advantageous
