Test Engineer

Overview

In this role you will join Raytheon UK’s software team as a Test Engineer, delivering secure, mission-critical software across defence and cyber domains. You will work in a cross-functional, agile environment, shaping test strategies for complex systems. The role emphasizes automated testing, test environments, and collaboration with development teams to ensure quality and timely delivery. A key hook is contributing to DevSecOps at scale within a mission-focused technology group.

Responsibilities

• Apply test skills within an Agile software delivery team
• Create and maintain automated test frameworks
• Define and manage test environments, data, and tools
• Support test team interactions with the wider development team and resolve issues
• Produce test documents using appropriate tools
• Raise defects and support resolutions with the development team
• Manage creation of automated and manual test scripts
• Produce test and deployment strategies and plans per customer guidelines

Key requirements

• Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum/DevOps delivery model
• Experience deploying and configuring complex software under Linux/Windows
• Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and test methodologies/tools
• Experience producing test plans and reports using applicable tools
