Chartered Building Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end building survey projects for commercial and residential clients, guiding work from initial safety and site works through to specification, tender, and handover. You will perform surveys, condition reports, and defect analyses, liaising with clients and managing contracts and inspections. The position offers opportunities to work across London and surrounding areas with potential for progression in a well-established firm. You will be integral to delivering high-quality surveys and project outcomes that support clients and the firm’s reputation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complete project lifecycle from safety/disturbance through to specification, tender, project management and handover
• Conduct building surveys, condition reports and defect analysis for key clients
• Lead tender activities and contract administration
• Perform inspections and generate reports for residential and commercial properties
• Liaise with key clients to confirm project scope and requirements

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience
• MRICS / Chartered status
• Experience across a range of project types and a track record of delivering surveys and reports
• Proven ability to manage tenders and contract administration
• Experience in both residential and commercial client environments
