Residential Technical Manager – North London

Overview

In this role you will lead the technical and design efforts on multiple London-based residential developments, stepping up to Technical Manager. You will guide the technical team, coordinate with architects, and ensure drawing packages are delivered on time while liaising with commercial and production teams. You will work on RC and timber frame schemes, interpreting Building Regs and NHBC standards to secure compliant designs. This is a hands-on, cross-disciplinary role focused on delivering high-quality schemes and enabling project progress.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical and design team
• Manage full working drawings packages from inception to completion
• Coordinate with architectural team to ensure timely delivery
• Liaise with commercial and production teams throughout development
• Interrogate design information across disciplines and identify critical paths
• Ensure compliance with Building Regs, NHBC Standards and sustainability requirements

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ residential developer experience on multiple new build developments
• Strong knowledge of development/technical design process
• Experience with RC frame and timber frame residential schemes
• Ability to question design information across disciplines
• Architectural background; AutoCAD beneficial
• Understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and sustainability
• Ability to interpret and negotiate compliance and programme schedules
• Degree or professional qualification
