Lead Quality Supervisor

Overview

In this Lead Quality Supervisor role, you’ll own quality assurance and inspection across manufacturing of advanced composite components for aerospace. You will ensure ISO9001 and AS9100 compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support audits and cross-site quality alignment. You’ll lead hands-on dimensional inspection, document quality records, and enable timely NCR and CAPA processes. This position offers impact on product readiness, process capability, and collaboration with engineering and production to reduce defects. Responsibilities

• Maintain ISO9001 and AS9100 compliance and quality systems
• Lead internal and external audits and coordinate with QMS provider
• Manage non-conformances, NCRs, CAPA, and corrective actions
• Perform dimensional inspections of composite components and assemblies
• Develop and apply inspection plans and acceptance criteria
• Operate and ensure calibration of metrology equipment and software
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and product validation
• Inspect and verify products during UK–Turkish transfers and ensure dimensional conformity
• Drive continuous improvement of quality processes on the shop floor
• Coordinate cross-site quality alignment and shared inspection standards

Key requirements

• Proven experience in Quality Supervisor, Senior Inspector, or Quality Engineer within aerospace/high-performance manufacturing
• Experience inspecting composite components and assemblies
• Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 in aerospace manufacturing
• Experience supporting internal, customer, and certification audits and understanding AS9100 requirements
• Strong practical inspection and metrology experience
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and composite specifications
• Experience with precision measuring equipment and inspection software
• Experience with 3D scanning, CMM inspection, or advanced metrology systems (advantageous)
• Strong non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and CAPA experience
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management documentation systems
