Overview

In this role, you will lead VAT advisory engagements within the Energy & Resources sector for a Big 4 firm, strengthening client relationships and shaping new market opportunities. You’ll work with multinational clients and entrepreneurial businesses, applying senior-level VAT expertise to complex sector-specific issues. The position emphasizes leadership, business development, and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive culture. A clear impact focus is on guiding clients through UK VAT considerations and delivering value at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage key client relationships in the Energy & Resources VAT practice
• Identify and develop new go-to-market opportunities and cross-sell VAT services
• Provide senior-level VAT advisory for complex sector-specific issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm to deliver integrated solutions
• Support market development and thought leadership in the Energy & Resources space
• Mentor and guide junior staff, contributing to the firm’s inclusive culture

Key requirements

• UK VAT consulting experience in the Energy & Resources sector
• Senior Manager/Associate Director level equivalent experience
• Proven ability to lead client relationships and deliver complex VAT solutions
