Overview

In this Senior Estimator role, you will lead cost-focused tenders from initial cost plans through final negotiations. You will work within a reputable main contractor with a diverse project portfolio across residential and public sectors, delivering multi-million projects from North London. You will shape cost plans, drive two-stage tendering, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure profitable bids. This position offers impact through precise cost control and strategic procurement in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop Detailed Cost Plans
• Collate KPIs and benchmarking to support cost plans
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
• Create house/flat type schedules and BoQs
• Coordinate specialist subcontract procurement packages
• Prepare and tender packaged works and procure items for cost plans
• Build and maintain a data-driven library of cost data
• Evaluate new products/methods and perform cost comparisons
• Liaise with all departments to leverage data in cost plans

Key requirements

• Degree or professional body membership (preferred)
• Strong track record with a reputable main contractor or developer
• Solid understanding of the residential housebuilding sector
• Reliable deadline-focused mindset
• Team-oriented attitude
• Able to commute to North London
• Full UK driving license
