Project Controls Engineer

Overview

In this role you will contribute to delivering complex engineering projects by providing reliable cost, schedule, and performance information to support key decisions. You will work with project managers, planners and technical teams to keep projects aligned with budgets and timelines, using planning tools to forecast and monitor progress. You’ll help ensure governance and reporting standards while promoting the use of planning and data analytics to drive delivery performance. Responsibilities

• Maintain project controls processes to support delivery
• Create and update schedules, forecasts and performance reports
• Monitor cost, schedule and resource data; highlight trends, deviations, risks
• Support project managers with progress tracking, change management and performance analysis
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and activity alignment
• Provide insights to aid planning, reporting and decision-making
• Contribute to governance and high governance standards in project control and reporting
• Promote use of Planisware and/or Power BI and related trainings
• Capture and share lessons learned across BA GEN and Project Support Officer Team

Key requirements

• Experience in project controls, planning, risk, PMO, governance, reporting or project delivery on complex engineering or infrastructure projects
• Experience applying project controls across the project lifecycle
• Experience in cost forecasting, budget monitoring and performance reporting
• Experience in developing/maintaining project schedules using Planisware or similar systems
• Experience tracking progress and analysing performance against milestones and objectives
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to manage dependencies, risks and delivery priorities
• Experience preparing reports and presenting to stakeholders

• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication to translate cost insights for stakeholders
