Overview

In this role you will design, build and scale secure AI and Generative AI solutions for clients in the Security & Justice sector, moving from pilot to production-ready systems. You’ll work within Deloitte’s AI Scaling and Transformation team, collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data-driven outcomes. You’ll own delivery workstreams, translate business needs into scalable architectures, and ensure responsible AI practices in highly regulated environments. This is a client-facing, impact-focused opportunity to shape AI at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own AI engineering workstreams from design to delivery, aligned with client objectives and timelines
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate operational challenges into scalable AI/data architectures
• Design, develop and deploy secure, reliable AI/Generative AI solutions (models, data pipelines, components)
• Operationalise AI solutions with modern engineering practices (CI/CD, monitoring, testing, lifecycle management)
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, governance and responsible AI in regulated environments
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, engineers and analysts to integrate AI into enterprise delivery programs
• Manage stakeholder expectations and contribute to delivery leadership, including risk management and mentoring junior staff

Key requirements

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, AI, Data Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• Proven experience designing and deploying AI/ML solutions in consulting/public sector/enterprise tech
• Experience owning technical deliverables and engaging with business and technical stakeholders
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions with measurable outcomes
• Experience in secure or regulated environments; eligibility or clearance able to be obtained

• ML frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn
