Overview

In this Senior Planner role, you will lead planning on complex energy and nuclear-related projects, shaping schedules and driving on-time, on-budget delivery. You’ll work within the Energy & Natural Resources team to align time, cost, risk, and scope, delivering robust schedules and data-driven insights for management decisions. You’ll mentor junior planners and coordinate across multi-project programs, contributing to a high-performance, client-focused culture. Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and scheduling of multiple projects or a large, complex program
  • Create, develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with requirements
  • Follow NEC or FIDIC contract processes for schedule data management
  • Assist in developing management status reports on project progress
  • Oversee Integrated Project Controls standards and processes with the senior team
  • Reduce uncertainty and improve efficiency by clarifying project objectives
  • Define scope with the team to develop/update schedules, cost data, and variances
  • Support project managers in scheduling work and coordinating assignments
  • Assess schedule progress and performance, identifying problem areas
  • Analyze float, critical path, and constraints to propose recovery actions
  • Conduct project progress reviews and monitor IMS consolidation
  • Monitor project KPIs and periodic EVM reporting
  • Mentor and coach planning personnel to foster development
  • Keep stakeholders informed through effective reporting
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project controls
  • Demonstrate leadership to mobilize, inspire and maintain team cohesion
  • Navigate conflicts and maintain effective stakeholder relationships

Key requirements

  • Senior professional Project Controls experience focusing on Planning & Scheduling
  • Experience across the project lifecycle in one or more sectors; nuclear experience desirable but not required
  • Strong knowledge of Primavera (P6) and other planning/resourcing software
  • Proven leadership, communication, and ability to influence and develop teams
  • BPSS level security clearance eligibility
  • Member of professional bodies such as APM or PMI
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Risk-based decision making with unclear parameters
  • Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
