Overview

As Block Manager, you will lead on-site delivery of a residential tower project in Islington, ensuring the client’s requirements are met from start to finish. You’ll work within a development team to oversee safety, quality, and progress, coordinating with QSs to monitor costs and maintain reports. You will liaise with clients, professionals, and the public while guiding construction teams and managing permits and risk. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-profile mixed-use development that offers significant impact on project outcomes. The role may require relocation or long commutes as sites demand, presenting an opportunity to shape delivery on a major urban project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site delivery and progress to meet client specifications
• Coordinate with quantity surveyors to monitor costs and budgets
• Liaise with client, construction professionals, and public as needed
• Supervise construction workers and coordinate site activities
• Select tools and materials, and oversee safety inspections
• Prepare and review site reports, designs, and drawings
• Maintain quality control procedures and risk assessments
• Assist with contracts, permits, and licences
• Manage paperwork and reporting
• Be prepared to relocate or travel for site needs
