Site Manager Required in London and Essex

Overview

As a Site Manager you will lead on-site construction activities for a well-established main contractor across London and Essex. You will coordinate trades, maintain programme and quality, and ensure health and safety compliance while liaising with clients and consultants. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to deliver refurbishment, extensions, new builds, and renovations across education, healthcare, residential, retail, and commercial sectors. This role offers impact by shaping project delivery on-site and contributing to a wider construction and fit-out mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist other Managers to ensure smooth construction sequences
• Maintain and oversee various trade packages
• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities
• Ensure works are completed to programme and quality standards
• Maintain compliance with all health and safety requirements
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the project

Key requirements

• Proven experience delivering refurbishment, extension, new build and renovation projects
• Strong background working for a main contractor
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Site Management
• Ability to oversee day-to-day site operations and subcontractors
• Strong health & safety awareness and site compliance knowledge
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work
• Experience working across commercial, residential, or public sector projects
