Site Engineer – Civil Engineering / Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you will support a long-term, high-profile civil engineering project in Coventry, aligning site delivery with design, commercial, and operations teams. You will oversee performance, document control, and risk/issue closure to protect margins and safety. You’ll lead site coordination, approvals, and client relations while driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Understand project deliverables via handover with process team
• Monitor daily project performance; close out actions, risks and non-conformities
• Prepare and submit contract documentation; secure approvals before mobilization
• Create site deliverables and communicate with the site supervisor
• Attend site on complex/large projects as directed
• Record all changes to deliverables with the customer and involve the commercial team
• Review and report monthly financial performance; revise forecast as needed
• Oversee contract purchases/costs and work with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery
• Develop relationships with customers to clarify requirements and align with business needs
• Ensure compliance with business strategy and safety initiatives
• Collaborate with operations, pre-construction, commercial, plant, BD and design teams to enable efficient delivery
• Maintain a focus on safety (WORKSAFE/HOMESAFE)

Key requirements

• Degree in construction-related subject; experience in civil engineering operations and design preferred
• Working towards or in possession of a recognized qualification
• Strong communication skills; ability to advise senior management when action is required
• Good commercial acumen and working knowledge of contracts
