Overview

In this role you’ll support finance systems initiatives across Syndicate Operations and international platforms, focusing on GAAP and underwriting year reporting, KPI reporting, analysis, and process improvement. You will work with cross-functional teams to enhance the financial close, maintain the Financial Data Warehouse, and ensure data integrity across the General Ledger and reporting layers. Responsibilities

• Manage finance transformation projects and enhancements to the financial close process
• Support product development and the design of FS&D products and services
• Present FS&D initiatives and project updates to stakeholders
• Produce high-quality financial reporting and management information for decision-making
• Reconcile technical insurance data to the SUN General Ledger ensuring accuracy
• Deliver financial analysis including ratio-driven performance reporting and portfolio comparisons
• Support month-end close activities and the Postbox process (FDW to GL)
• Assist with close and maintenance of the Financial Data Warehouse (FDW)
• Update and maintain custom written and earned premium patterns within the FDW
• Process and validate manual adjustments within the FDW
• Create and manage Azure DevOps tickets to deliver enhancements for statutory/regulatory accounting
• Perform data quality analysis in the FDW and drive remediation with cross-functional teams
• Strengthen finance governance by supporting SOX controls, process documentation, and data governance

Key requirements

• Experience in Lloyd’s or London Insurance Market
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of SQL and complex reporting using SQL Script, with ability to embed SQL in applications
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification preferred but not essential
