Associate Structural Engineer

Overview

In this role, you contribute to an innovative engineering practice by delivering efficient structural solutions on high-profile projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing early design input and taking on project and small-team leadership with support from the London Director. You’ll tackle challenging work—from stadium and airport steelwork to CLT and DFMA-focused elements—shaping safer, more efficient structures. This position offers a path to increased responsibility and impact within a dynamic, creative firm.

Responsibilities

• manage projects and small teams with support from senior leadership
• provide early-stage design input to projects
• lead or contribute to steelwork design efforts for complex projects
• coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders
• be involved in prestigious and technically challenging assignments (steel, CLT, DFMA)
• drive efficient, practical structural solutions and delivery
• support professional development and mentoring within the team

Key requirements

• Chartered Structural Engineer at Senior Engineer level
• experience in Steelwork Design
• familiarity with concrete and timber elements
• advantageous but not essential: knowledge of Modular/DFMA construction and CLT
