Junior CTO / Full Stack JavaScript Developer

Overview

In this role you contribute to a growing online platform, shaping both frontend and backend across a range of projects. You collaborate closely with a small team and have exposure to leadership, including the CEO, while tackling greenfield work and API development. You will work with modern JavaScript stack to deliver high-demand website features and improvements. The role blends hands-on development with ownership over parts of the business as it scales.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide range of projects for the parent company
• Develop APIs and frontend features using React
• Manage outsourcing and coordinate with external teams
• Take ownership of area(s) of the business and drive ideas to implementation
• Maintain and improve systems based on user feedback
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to achieve objectives
• Contribute to the evolution of the tech stack as the platform grows

Key requirements

• Good knowledge of Node.js
• Good knowledge of React
• HTML / CSS / SASS
• TypeScript (comfortable with vanilla JavaScript)
• Working knowledge of MongoDB (or similar NoSQL)
• Comfortable with Linux (daily usage and system administration)
