Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Overview

In this SDET role, you will reinforce quality for AVEVA’s 3DVis Cloud and XR cloud streaming solutions, ensuring robust software for cloud and on-premises deployments. You’ll work within a scaled agile team to expand test coverage and automate testing, contributing to a high-quality industrial software portfolio. The role blends test automation, quality engineering, and cloud technologies in a collaborative environment. You will help shape testing practices and drive improvements across the SDLC, delivering reliable experiences for customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, DevOps and SDET colleagues to define, implement, and execute functional and non-functional test coverage for assigned features
• Design, write, and maintain automated tests using C# within existing frameworks and team patterns
• Own automated test execution, investigate failures, and improve test reliability in CI environments
• Plan and run regression testing using Azure DevOps Test Plans and configure deployments with Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Identify gaps in test coverage, propose new test cases or automation improvements, and share best practices
• Investigate production issues and drive preventative improvements to strengthen automated regression coverage

Key requirements

• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and how testing contributes to delivery
• Proven experience in functional testing with exposure to non-functional testing (reliability, performance, security) and ownership of test coverage
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests in C# within team practices
• Team-oriented, collaborative, with strong communication and organizational skills; able to work independently and drive issues to resolution
