Senior Civil Engineer – Infrastructure

Overview

As a Senior Civil Engineer in Stantec’s Ashford Civil Infrastructure team, you will lead technical delivery for highway and drainage schemes and mentor junior engineers. You’ll collaborate with building, environmental, and transport colleagues to create holistic, sustainable infrastructure across the South-East. You’ll manage projects to meet time and budget goals while maintaining high design quality and regulator/comms with authorities. Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery and approvals for projects and review team outputs
• Mentor and manage workload of junior engineers and technicians
• Deliver high-quality design schemes on time and within budget
• Collaborate with clients and cross-disciplinary teams (building, environmental, transport) to deliver holistic solutions
• Coordinate with regulators and local authorities and manage utility coordination
• Contribute to regional development and project delivery from concept through to detailed design and delivery

Key requirements

• MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status
• Proven track record delivering highway and drainage infrastructure design
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and mentoring junior staff
• Strong communication with internal/external stakeholders
• Experience with Civils 3D, MicroDrainage is advantageous
• Ability to collaborate with utility companies and highway authorities
