Overview

In this role you join a national real estate disputes practice within a leading law firm focused on commercial property conflicts. You will work on landlord and tenant disputes, development-related issues, and strategic property matters for developers and insurers, with opportunities to handle a broad range of property disputes. You collaborate across teams to deliver practical, commercial advice and contribute to client relationships and business development. Your work supports the firm’s real estate litigation strength and client-centric, ESG-aligned approach.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial landlord and tenant disputes (1954 Act, alienation, break rights, dilapidations)
• Advise on development-related disputes and rights to light
• Manage property contracts disputes and property-related insolvency issues
• Address ancillary real property disputes (rights of way, adverse possession, restrictive covenants)
• Potential involvement in residential landlord and tenant matters
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and market intermediaries, focusing on the North-West market
• Participate in team, office, and firm-wide business development initiatives
• Ensure files comply with Lexcel procedures and contribute to department and firm performance goals
• Attend department and firm meetings, training, and social events

Key requirements

• 2+ years relevant post-qualification experience (PQE) from a reputable firm
